Our Commitment

The Association of Sugar Producers of Mozambique (APAMO) is committed to representing, supporting, and coordinating the common interests of the Mozambican sugar industry, promoting its image and contributing to the growth, sustainability, and recognition of the industry both national and internationally. Our mission is to help transform the sugar industry into a crucial sector for the sustainable development of Mozambique's economy.

About Our History

APAMO arose from the need for an organization that could represent the customary suits of the sugar industry when the Government of Mozambique decided to revitalize the industry. It emerged when sugar was becoming increasingly important in various industries and households.

In 2001, the creation of the Association of Sugar Producers of Mozambique played a critical role in shaping the country’s economy. A consortium of sugar producers and industry veterans in Mozambique formed an organization with a strategic vision for the future of the sugar industry. They aim to define the sector and promote sustainable growth in the nation.
